Before anyone asks, yeah, it's a pretty permanent change.  It's been really long in coming, though unfortunately not soon enough to nab the username on here that I use everywhere else now (CocaCoral).  So my new dA gallery can be found here:

Why the name change?
Because.. well, I don't like my character being called a yoshi when she hasn't been one for many years.  She doesn't even look like one at all any more.  Every time someone calls her a yoshi it's like looking at a sparrow and saying "Hey it's a t-rex!" ... no, no it isn't.  Maybe it once was and has similarities that you can tell may be related, but the character, just like that little songbird on your back porch, is no longer that.

The mistake is often made because of my username I guess, which is understandable.  But no.
Neither I or my character are a yoshi.

Also... I think it might be a good change to use my real name anyways, despite still using CocaCoral elsewhere.  A lot of people seem to be under the impression that the character Coral and I are somehow related beyond her just being a character of mine.  A lot of you talk to me like I am the character (no, I don't have scales or a tail, I promise) and others seem to think that she's some incarnation based off of me.

Nope, just a character.  I just use her name as my online alias username because it used to be the "cool" thing about 10 years ago (maybe still is in some circles, not insulting anyone).

So... that's about it.

Potentially fan art, but honestly I'd like to have a gallery that has some potential I could link to share with people I meet offline as well.  So this gallery here may still get some uploads, but they will be few and far between.  Most likely only commissions, which I already don't get too much of, lol.

It's been really awesome, honestly.  I've had this account for SO long and I have so many people watching it and such really inflated numbers that it is flattering, absolutely.  But I feel like it's time for a wake up call on that.  A lot of those watchers are abandoned accounts.  A lot of the favorites on here were made because "oh this has a yoshi in it".  And a lot of the views are probably for the same reason.  It makes me sad in the end.

As much as I appreciate all of the great support I have received over the years, I'd like to have a fresh start with the people I know really do care to see my art more.  I'm not expecting a lot of people to follow my new gallery.  If you do expecting to find yoshi art, you won't.  Any fan art will be related to my current interests, and only if I deem it something I'd want to share with coworkers and use as an actual portfolio.  If you want yoshies and to see my commissioned images, you can keep watching this gallery, and if I have any more in the future I'll definitely post it here.  I still draw them for nostalgia's sake but my interest in the community has waned over the years.

I'm ditching this gallery and moving to , if you want yoshi art don't bother going there.  In the off chance that I do some (perhaps as commissions) it'll be posted here.
