Finally done, I forget when I started it now haha. I had to put the date that it was completed because it's been a project of mine for a while.

The extensive process that will NEVER be repeated again!:
1.) I sketched everything out in a watered-down waterproof (haha) India ink, and when I got what I liked I went over it in darker inks
2.) The next day I went back through and colored in the areas with a light water color (the cheap Prang brand of semi-moists, no less! I need to buy better)
3.) Day afterwards I painted the background up on a seperate sheet of paper with nothing but water colors
4.) I let them sit for a few days because I wanted them dry aaand I was too lazy to start again
5.) Finally sat down tonight and shaded/colored everything over with Prisma colored pencils and white conte crayon on the picture of Cirrus, and then went over the background the same way
6.) Cut out all the white areas around Cirrus with a pair of scissors (I couldn't find the derned Exacto knife)
7.) Scanned the image of Cirrus and cleaned up around the edges, took out the darker areas over the top of the grass (see the inked version: [link] ), then went over areas that needed to be darkened or tweaked
8.) Scanned in the background and made it 25% lighter than it was
9.) Set the image of Cirrus on a layer above the background, resized, and added a border and copyright

This will never. Ever. Be repeated. Mostly because I'm too lazy to ever take on such a project again.
